One thing that can be* asserted to be a valid critique of Your Candidate** is that i haven't been very good at winning Hearts And Minds over to The Struggle on a broad scale. Sure, we've penetrated the Target Demogaphic deep, with the C_j Ultraz hooking successful pitches into the temporal lobes of a few not-so-much-key-placed-as-hoped-for Citizens. This may pan out to be invaluable during a future Food Riot or some such,*** but to my knowledge no electoral delegates number amongst the hapless and happier victims of our ongoing brainwashing experiment.
Hence the impetus giving rise to this Appologia. I'm not The Great Communicator™, but i'll try to be as holistic yet coherant as...

Democracy and the Communaeum: En Appologia
The course of action proponed by this campaign, which is to secure the guarantee of direct democracy through popular vote for the US Executive, strikes many as premature in proposal and preposterous in practicablity. Pundits from all sides reveal thier true elitist leanings and wave off talk of a direct count as an affront to the intent with which our Founders created and cast this Republic™ using this eponymous nomenclature as if they've found the perfect circular argument to win the Junior Debate with. Surely advocates of a popular vote know that the wisdom and indisputably nobel intentions of the Constitutional Congress provided the peasants of America with the fairest of all representative process in the crafting of the Electoral System? The US is the most democratic republic ever, rationnally conceived on Natural Law with respect given to the Individual's Soveriegn Rights™.
I hold no card against these fishwives' recitations of Thier Masters' Voices. I am an Individual; i do hold my own Soveriegn Rights as i perceive them to be Inalienable, Immutable and Sacrosanct; and thusly the cognitive dissonic yelp of withdrawing from the challenge and promise of developing our society further along the Populist Path with such an Authortarianist set of arguments repells me. Liberty in Her simple beauty begs the Post-Enlightenment heart to pound in rythmn with an egalitarian drum, not to shy up from the press of the common hand and turn back toward the vague Authority of the Unseen that is the omnipresent bulwarks of Oligopoly Autocratic Tyranny.
That shite's an Intolerable Act, and this Peasant doesn't do those.
Let's instead see what Natural Law we can find to rest our elbows on, since the crux of the matter is really a simple duality:
Given that Her Citizens will continue to be governed by the triple-tiered Federalism (with Bicammeral Legislate™!) of the current United States governmental system, & that that said system, dynamic as all systems are, will tend towards equilibrium but develop if acted upon, would it be preferable to:
A - Maintain current levels of Citizen power reflected in the beurocracies and policies of the Nation, regardless of effect;
B - Maintain current overall social atmospherics, or find a better equilibrium state and call it an Epoche for the American Empire, by any means neccessary;
C - Increase Citizen power and involvement in the affairs of State, so long as this doesn't change other social equalibriums; or
D - Increase Citizen power and involvement in the affairs of State by any means neccessary.
The Quadratic Duality: Should we work to keep things as they are or work towards the functional idealogical goal we as Americans hold to be our Uniting Cause and Founding Purpose, Democracy; one Nation, by the People, for the People, of the People; where one person equals one vote and the King is dead forever?
To work towards the lessening of Citizen power or the lowering of social equalibrium values are both now Federal offences triable under the Patriot Act; sitting on the sidelines and doing nothing will add to the inertial drag that's pulling the current equalibrium into a whirlpool bound for stagnancy at best, perhaps leading us right back into Obliege Britannica. So action is, as always, a True Patriot's Endevour™ encumbent upon all Citizens to engage.
